An energy-packed chocolate puree that's always easy to swallow in all temperatures and conditions!
Sweet potatoes are not only rich in carbohydrates, they are also rich in vitamins and minerals.
Ingredients
1/2 cup mashed sweet potato (peeled, chopped, then boiled or baked)
1/3 cup dates
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 tsp of chia seeds
1/8 tsp salt
If the dates are a little hard, you can soften them by soaking them in boiling water for a few minutes. Drain the water, then blend them with a hand blender to make a date paste.
Combine all the ingredients and mix until smooth. Add water as needed to adjust the texture to your liking.
From now on, you have two options: a Ziploc bag or a reusable flask.
Ziploc bag option
Transfer the mixture into 2 or 3 small Ziploc bags and put them in your jersey pocket.
When you are ready to eat, make a small incision in a corner of the Ziploc bag with your teeth to create a gel-like pouch.
Reusable flask option
Transfer the mixture into a single ziploc bag, then cut a slit in the corner to fill your reusable flask.
This puree works well with Hydrapak resealable flasks. The wider opening makes it easy to pass the puree. Try it!
Have a good ride!
